Day 290
Prompt 290
“Slow buds the pink dawn like a rose From out night's gray and cloudy sheath; Softly and still it grows and grows, Petal by petal, leaf by leaf.”

- Susan Coolidge
Having done a sunset yesterday, here is a sunrise photo from a frosty Dec morning last year. I love to see the sun rise in the early morning.

Day 289
Prompt 289
“The very pink of perfection.”- Oliver Goldsmith
I found today's prompt difficult and it has taken me all day to think of a photo which conjures up perfection, I can think of many moments when I have said this is perfect, but I guess sunsets make me think, "how perfect is God's creation" It is also a wonderful ending to a day. These sunsets I see from my kitchen and patio windows. How Blessed we are. This was taken one misty evening a few days ago

LO 32 - add some hand stitching to the LO

Day 288
This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Anna says "I am personally going through my own journey this month, of ups and downs, hospital visits and call backs. I believe we are all woman doing this challenge so I thought it very appropiate to use our 365 prompts to "think pink"."
Prompt 288
“Almost all words do have color and nothing is more pleasant than to utter a pink word and see someone's eyes light up and know it is a pink word for him or her too” - Gladys TabeAnna
I am not a pink person and it isn't my favourite colour but guess I do associate pink with females "girly things " and recently breast cancer ribbon. Today I saw this car with this huge sticker on the bonnet to make people aware of breast cancer.
I wish men took as much notice of prostrate cancer as women do breast cancer these days and went for tests.
I have just had another routine mamogram which between 60 and 71 is every 3 yrs. I now await the results and hope I am not recalled for further tests, this happened several years ago but all was well.

Day 287
Prompt 287
"all right me old china"
China Plate - mate
I would never refer to my friend Carol as a 'mate', to me this is a term which males and the younger generation use!
I have several close friends but only Carol lives locally and is the only friend that I have been on holiday with successfully, so she must be a real 'mate'!!
To me my friends are very important. I find most of my close friends I have had since school and college days.
I have known Carol since I started teaching and she worked in the school office. Carol makes me laugh. We can cry together and share the joys and tribulations of life and keep secrets . We are both only children and her DH says we are like sisters, what a lovely compliment.
Of course my real soul mate is DH my lovely Peter xx

Day 286
Prompt 286
"Use yer loaf!"
Loaf of bread = Head

This is an expression that I have heard DH use a lot!! For him he means "think about it"!

Do I think about things? Yes I do a lot!

What I am going to do today. How I am going to do things. What we are going to eat. How are the family. What shall I wear. Trying to learn new things. I must remember........ etc. I definitely use my loaf.

In fact so many things buzz through my mind, I have to write lists and still I forget things!!
