Day 271
Prompt 271
“Take control of your destiny. Believe in yourself. Ignore those who try to discourage you. Avoid negative sources, people, places, things and habits. Don't give up and don't give in.”
- Wanda Hope Carter; motivational speaker and writer
Today I was totally in control of what I did !! I went to Ally Pally and was fortunate that NO ONE discouraged me from shopping for stash:). I don't think anyone could have discouraged me from buying my BIA and all the other lovely goodies and when I came home DH was pleased to see what I had bought. Bless him x
Having said that often in the past I have become discouraged by negative things that people say to me and I have found recently that losing weight is interesting in the fact that there are people who don't like you trying to get thinner and really try to encourage you to eat all the wrong things, how sad is that?

Day 270Prompt 270"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow.'”- Mary Anne Radmacher; author
I do not think of myself as very courageous, in fact at times I think I am a coward opting out of unpleasant things and can give up quite easily when things are hard or difficult but I guess we all say a times 'I will try again tomorrow'!
This photo was taken yesterday of Mark my DS1 who I think is quietly courageous in facing his disability ( diagnosed 4 yrs ago). He is constantly saying I will try again tomorrow and never outwardly shows any signs of feeling discouraged.

I have posted 2 photos for today. All my life I have made excuses for my weight - heredity, my thyroid, etc, now I know I am capable of losing weight. In January I was over 17 st, today on my new scales I weigh 13.13st and bought some clothes in the sales, size 16/18.
There are 2 other things I have done today which I didn't think I was capable of, I bought some troll jewellery on ebay and started this blog, no excuses now!!
Day 268
Prompt 268
"What ever beauty may be, it has for its basis order, and for its essence unity.”
—Father Andre This is one of many sunset photos I have taken from my back patio door. I took this last night and I always think of all the other beautiful things that my God has created in this world when I see such a dramatic sky which to me shows an order and unity.

Day 267 Week 39
“Our happiness is completely and utterly intertwined with other people: family, friends, neighbors and the woman who you hardly notice who cleans your office.”
—Eric Weiner; author, national public radio correspondent
—Eric Weiner; author, national public radio correspondent
I cannot imagine what my life would be like without my family, church family, friends and neighbours. I guess there are times when Peter and I say " stop the world, I want to get off" (when we could do without their problems as well as our own!!) but on the whole they bring us great joy and happiness in life.
I do not work in an office where there is a cleaner, I am the only cleaner here and I don't do that very often :( When I did have a cleaner I always made sure we chatted each evening and got to know her and all about her and her family and we always gave birthday and Christmas presents to each other, I still remember her name, it was Mrs Venner
